| About Laura Laura Shanahan, M.A., TESL. She is the founding director and has been halfway around the world and back teaching English as a Second Language and learning as much as she could. Presently living in Andover, she works with the Woburn Public Schools. She has been trained by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to lead ESL Category trainings 1, 3 and 4 (available 2009). She received her B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) at San Francisco State College in California. Upon finishing her degree, she taught in Thailand at a private high school/junior college as well as government offices and hospitals. She has also helped coordinate and develop a unique English language program in Thailand for the vocational schools. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time travelling with her friends and family. |
